We have used a Waeco Coolfreeze CFX35 for 2 years now and have found it to be very efficient. I keep it in the caravan plugged into the mains when on site and in the boot of the car plugged into the 12v socket when travelling. We travel a lot in Europe (or used to until new knee and lockdown!) and found it to be equally efficient in all ambient temperatures. It normally runs at -17/18C and the most it has cooled down to after a very long car journey has been -6C so far. However, gas is not an option with these freezers. Is there anyone who knows of a separate freezer 12volt /gas that could be stored in the motorhome garage?
Our new puppy is on raw food and we need a solution for when prolonged travelling. A free standing freezer would be ideal.
Can anyone help with advice?
