We're going to Sequoia Aug 2nd for 15 nights. Never actually stayed there but have visited a couple of times for a nose around. It's a lovely site, quiet, clean & friendly. Friends of ours stayed in a mobile home and also loved it. Our only concern is the local traffic. It's a nighmare getting into Marennes around noon due to the jam getting onto the Il D'oleron. You just have to leave the site to go anywhere by 11am at the very latest. If you haven't booked yet, you'd better do it soon because they fill up very quickly.

Jon

We stayed their last year for two weeks, Mark is right about the traffic, it's a nightmare at times. The site itself is very good, the pool is large but does get busy particularly if the temp gets up. (it was 35 c when we were there)Take some mossy killer though there were lots about when we visited (late July)

Went to Sequoia Parc a couple of years ago. If you turn right onto the road to Marennes, and then left you miss all the traffic to Il D'oleron, and can get into the town through the back roads. Didn't have any problems and ideal for the Supermarket etc.

We stayed there a couple of years ago and was not impressed it is still very new so shade is non existent there was also problems with ants but the main problem was only two water taps on the tourer part of the site,we were told by the site to use the fire hose! (very hygenic)

AGREE WITH FORMER COMMENT , MYSELF AND MY FAMILY STOPPED THERE FOR 2 WEEKS IN 04 AND THOUROUGHLY ENJOYED IT THE PARK , ITSELF IS CLEAN AND TIDY , ALLTHOUGH , IT IS BUSY IN AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER. THE AREA AROUND MARENNES IS GORGOUSE , ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A SEAFOOD LOVER AND THERE IS PLENTY OF CHOICE IN THE SURROUNDING REGION FOR VARIETY.

OH! AND BY THE WAY , THE POOLS ARE GOOD , BUT PLEASE TAKE "PROPER" SWIMMING TUNKS WITH YOU AS THEY DO NOT ALLOW THE "BERMUDER" TYPE TRUNKS, WICH SPOILED IT FOR ME AS I AM NOT BUILT FOR "SPEEDOS"...!!
