Serious Damp in the new Bailey Pageant 7 Limousin

Put a cover on it. No problem with damp then. This winter has had many extremes of temperature so condensation is possible. Ours has a cover and we haven't had a problem but then again it's a Swift!
I was thinking of getting a cover but in this case I don't think it would have made a difference, the answer would have been to check for ways that damp air could enter the van. a P.D.I for example from an experienced person. I am begining to learne the hard way.

Thank you for your comment

I will ask Ian Turner of Bailey on their recommendation for or against or the need for a cover. I will blog back on this one.

Regards

Bob

Hi Bob

What response have you had from Discover Leisure at Weston.

By the way caravan covers can cause more damage than the are worth ! Make sure you protect the windows or the constand rubbing of the inner material of the cover will scratch the soft surface of your windows. These will not be covered by warranty and can cost around

I followed what I beleived to be the correct proceedure for laying up the van for winter, but I did not account for wind blowing into the caravan via external holes. I have should placed my van in a lock up to prevent internal damage, look up fit fot purpose, then you could be of help.

Thank you for your comments.
if you mis-use anything, fit for the purpous is meaningless. sorry

Thanks for the reply Eddy.

I spoke to the workshop manager on Friday, and he had not been even been made aware that I had a problem.

I have now arranged to have two mates to deliver the van back to Mendip D.& Leisure. I want my van back in their their workshops A.S.A.P maybe the experts can tell me what the hell's going on.

Cheers Mate

Bob
Hi Bob

For your info Dave Inkpen the Workshop Manager at Weston used to work for Bailey so he should be in the best position to sort out your Bailey and give you the benefit of his manufacturing knowledge.
