We're off to Nantes this morning, for our first bit of serious motorhome hunting since we got here. Other costs, and the lower price we had to settle for on Roxie because of her high mileage, mean the budget isn't as big as we'd hoped, but we'll have well over 20k Euros to spend, so should find something good.
Looking through online ads, I was surprised to see how many DON'T have cab aircon - that's a dealbreaker for us, and I'd have thought it would be for most people over here, since you can drive uninterrupted to southern Spain, Greece or Italy!
I'll post again tonight how we get on.

Sorry, didn't quite manage a post that night. But we HAD visited no less than FIVE dealerships! We saw one or two "possible," but only one serious contender and I'd have to do a bit more persuasion on price to bring that one into our range.
Today, we've arranged to drive over to a place near Poitiers tomorrow, to see this baby:

Oh, today we also: got the electric shutters at the flat fixed, got a quote from an electrician for ceiling fans, arranged to scrap the (temporary) car I bumped last week, and to buy a replacement. This retirement business is hard work!

WE DID IT! Agreed to but this lovely 2005 Bustier (see my new avatar), for collection in three weeks (after full service and checks, plus installing a Gaslow setup).
Will someone please teach Microsoft about motorhomes? It's a B U R S T N E R for goodness' sake!
