Hello all.
I know it's probably like asking how long is a piece of string, we are using a fully serviced pitch for the first time and had a few questions please.
How much waste pipe do I need and the flexi pipe is quite expensive so can I use rigid pipe from say b+q ?
The water set up looks quite simple but any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
Many thanks in advance for your help.
Kindest regards
Neil :)

Hi Neil
Plenty on Sir Sproket's link for you.
Many years ago I bought about 8 mtrs of the flexi pipe plus a few joint couplers.. They have had extensive use, are easy to store and, fairly lightweight. The B&Q domestic piping is good but imo better placed on a seasonal pitch. Not that easy to carry. Just make sure the flexi pipe falls in a gentle sloping gradient into the pitch drain; no uphills. Easily achieved with pegs and guy rope pieces.
Whilst I have both the Aquaroll adaptor and the Whale mains direct water link I prefer the former. All we do is switch the pump off at night or when out to avoid any accidents. If you use the direct method for fresh water make sure you turn off the tap at night and everytime you go out.
Caravan plumbing joints can fail and with a continuous water supply..........

you'll need flippers.

Hi Neil cant really add much more to your question, the only part you didnt get an answer too is the length of pipe but probably in Sir Sprockets link. I measured off half the length of the caravan using flexy hose and found this more than enough on the sites weve been too. As Dusty has said if your supply to your caravan is through aquarol make sure at night tap supply is OFF

I used the grey waste pipe but on one site the drain was 3m in length from the drain outlet and approx. 6 inches off the floor resulting in the waste pipe always being full of water. I purchased some white drain pipe from B&Q together with 2 bends and a straight coupling. I have a 1.5m/1m and 0.5m lengths of drain pipe which stores well in the front locker and with the odd piece of grey flex pipe fits every site I have been on. I purchased one of the double drainage pipe connectors that fits on the drain outlets from the caravan.

Hope this helps
