Just had my 6th year service done and with it being the final year of warranty :( it was like waiting 3 hrs for my first born to arrive all came back great no advisory's or recommendation's mind you my damp report came back looking like a figure skaters score card 8,10.7..8,10 9.8 all over the van nothing higher/lower 7-10 asked the engineer as to why they were so close together he said as the van is in side and undercover so kept cool upon taking it off the sudden temperature causing humidity . because the warranty will run out soon so looking at extended warranty's has anybody got a they want to recommend :)

Hi Gravesty.

It's a tricky one. On one hand the warranty extension might offer you a bit of peace of mind. My experience of extended warranties is that they are a mind field full of unrealistic terms and conditions. On the other hand providing that you 'own' the caravan and after 6 years no damp issues you could just keep your fingers crossed.

I've had three band new vans. Two had serious damp, structural issues within the first two years. Once they where fixed both vans where kept for five years each and sold dry and at market value.

Good luck Tony

thanks Tony had a word with bailey just waiting for price normally I wouldn't bother with extended warrants at all but will look around to see what the cost are and if its worth it
Cheers Tom

Have to say worst day of the year is the day the caravan is serviced, waiting to hear if the worst has happened is a nightmare.
