Setting up TV with satellite from scratch (complete novice!)

Hi, we bought a caravan last year and would like to set up a TV with satellite (unless you recommend aerial is best way to go)we are complete novices have never used satellite before (freeview TV & aerial at home)so I really need to know step by step what I need to purchase and do to get set up, and what you might expect the total cost might be.

We will probably only visit UK and possible France when we are brave enough! Mackro have an easyfind COMAG sattelite system CD747 on offer at moment (£65+vat)is this any good?

The Makro Comag system along with all others will work fine in most of the UK. But if your going to France below the Loire then on may days you will struggle to get enough signal unless you have a 60 to 65 CM dia dish. As long as you dont stray out of France that's as big as you need to lug around.

Typo: "on many days" ie the weather can screw up a marginal signal, needing a bigger dish.

Karen, Im with Graham ,I bought my system forom Maplins 3 years ago and Ive never looked back.

The Aldi Sytem is of he same manufacturer

First time out not so easy to set up second time it gets better and so on.

There will several different views come along but ive found this the best ( Maplins) for the money.

I think satellite is the way forward as many sites do not have a very good reception Just make sure when you set up there is nothing in the line of view for for the dish . to see satellite

Karen I hit the send button and I shoulnt have done pleae be aware this system is on free to air and when your searching through there are adult channels to be found
