we own a shire royalty caravan circa 1992 and would like further information on , where and whom manufactured these hand built vans? when did the company begin and cease production? does anyone please have a brochure for these caravans that we can photocopy and pay for.does any club exist for owners or can we join the cotswold caravan club as these were "sister" models.can someone please supply the contact details.we regularly use our shire, which gives us great pleasure and although 17/18 years old still causes conversation with others on club sites etc . we live in the south west and you may well see us about throughout the year.finally, we met a very charming couple, margaret and john in early october at blackmore caravan club site. although trying to contact via e mail, we would very much like to hear from them again. gareth and steve.

Hi Gareth and Steve,

I am John of Margaret and John.On the forum i go under Hamer.

Following my first e-mail and your reply i must apologise for not getting back to you.

I am still working on your Shire information and when i find more i will contact you.

We set off on our Christmas/New Year tour, part of which is to visit family, on the 26th November and won't be home untill the 3rd January, so it will most probably be after 3rd January when i e-mail you.

We are going to Blackmore C.C. site, Southport C.C. site and then on the 17th December to Chatsworth C.C.site for Christmas and New Year.

Hope you are both keeping well and we will be in touch.

If you don't hear from me untill the New Year have a good Christmas and a happy New Year.

The caravan in question is a Shire Royalty,built by ex Cotswold employees and not a Royale. Shires were built for 2 to 3 years after Cotswold closed.
