Does anyone know whether a 2005 Sterling Eccles Jewel has shock absorbers? I can't see it in the brochure. It would be useful to know as we're looking at chassis-mounted caravan movers and it could make a difference. Also, does anyone have any words of wisdom on such movers, particularly the Powrtouch? Thanks.

I have fitted the Carver which is great but would go for the Powrtouch again as it has a 5 year warranty and they seem willing to sell ex-demo shop soiled etc with flexible pricing

I have fitted shock absorbers as well with no problems

If you are planning to fit shock absorbers to your van, do so before you have powertouch fitted, as there are certain dimensions that change in positioning the motors , to allow clearance of the shock absorbers,

Hi

You can fit caravan movers behind the axle so dampers will not be affected. However, watch if you have very wide section tyres 195 or 205 as they are too wide for the rollers to sit on. If you have not got dampers and have an Alko axle with mounting points then fit them. It makes the van ride much more steadily. I wouldn't buy a van without dampers now. Beejay
