I use one, got to be the ultimate tow vehicle, the danger can be, you wont know the van is in the back.

Take no notice of the anti 4/4s go for it ( its not as expensive to run as you might expect.

Towing large twin-axle van with 2004 Shogun 3.2D Equippe LWB Auto. EXCELLENT towcar. Very capable, smooth power at all speeds, auto box well set up for towing (can use cruise when towing too - when traffic permits!). Only down sides are heavy fuel consumption towing - we average 18mpg (this was 14mpg on one particularly hilly day in France!) but we do have a very large 'van. We get 28mpg solo. Also servicing is expensive (using required franchised dealers due to warranty etc). The suspension gives a hard ride solo, and cabin noise a little high when the engine's working hard, but for a car this capable it is acceptable I feel. Build quality seems very good, we've got 13,000 miles on the clock in 7 months, inc much towing (south of France last Sep.) - no faults to report. This car feels like it could tow anything, anywhere...all day long!! Hope this helps. Enjoy. Richard.
