I am thinking about purchasing a 3.2 L diesel auto. My main concern is will the Alko stabiliser handle hit the spare wheel. Also can the vehicle be driven in 4wd on tarmac roads. When towing in the mountains you never know whats round the corner.

I have had a 3.2 did auto for 2 months, towing performance supberb but not as stable as the trooper i had before. When towing mitsubishi recomend 4 wheel drive must be selected.

Interesting you should say that about stability. I tow with a Ford Explorer and a Citroen C5 estate. Suprisingly the C5 is more stable. Unfortunately Cameron did not mention wether the Alko stabiliser fitted past the spare wheel also I would be interested in why you had it hor such a short time. Thanks.
