Hi Danny

If today was the 1st April ??

Never mind the fresh water amd waste water systems I sincerely hope you know how to hitch up and tow?

If you really don't know say so and I am sure many of us can help you.

Cheers

haha.only if.lol

yes can tow, worked with horses all my life and towed trailers with horses etc just not a van so fine with all hitching up and towing etc. just got to blow the dust off those skills.lol.

with the black waste carriers i was just wondering as i know there for waste etc but there a big cap on the side and top of them so was just wondering as there is only a tap attachment for the drinking water to get it in the barrel so i was wondering how you get the waste water in the carrier and where its emptied. did say it was a silly question.lol. but still, better to ask instead of flooding the pitch when were away.lol

Hi Danny,

If you look around the caravan outside there will be one or two waste outlets covered by flaps you will need a piece of grey hose to connect to the waste container did you find a length of this when you got the caravan? if not you can get this from any caravan shop.

Enjoy your first trip

Hi Danny

The only silly questions are the ones that you want an answer to but didn't ask.

The waste water will flow internally through the system to an outlet on the side or rear of your caravan.

You will need a section of Grey Waste Pipe to connect between the caravan outlet and the waste container.

The fresh water enters your caravan via a submersible pump which you should have with the caravan. The pump is submerged through the top of the Aquaroll.

I'd hesitate to drink the water from the caravan system which may contain all sorts of microbes and bacteria.

It's best to take a couple of plastic bottles to fill up directly from the tap for drinking, beverages, the dog etc.

An alternative to the black plastic waste containers is the Wastemaster

These are easier to handle than the carry around type and they have a ledge to fit the cassette toilet waste tank so that you can deal with all of the waste at the same time

yes thats what were doing, only using the water through the system for washing up etc. it was just the waste water system, better i ask than get ear ache on site.lol. erm in the van my uncle has the blue plastic piping that attaches to the tap to fill the aqua roll so thats fine i know how all that works it was just with the 2 waste water barrels i was unsure how to connect them as the only piping i have found in the van was the black ribbed plastic piping in the front locker so to attach to the waste water outlet is it just a push on attachment or?

because the van is at my uncles i cant go out n have a look when i think of things like this so if i ask i know what to look for and but in the meantime :)

Yes Danny, the black ribbed pipe pushes onto the end of the outlets, usually two with the other end into the black waste container which lies flat on the ground

ah fab, thanks parksy.one less thing to buy now.lol. better to get it right first time ey.

and we dont have the aqua rolls, we have 2 big square water containers, there bigger than aqua rolls but we have a light weight collapsable trolley for them so it easy as anything to move them around. my uncle changed to these because of his hip so he had to make less trips.lol. plus this way we can move the waste etc around all on the trolley so no carrying :)

thanks again for your help, much appreciated

Morning Danny

Tol dyou you'd get plenty of help here!

The two black waste containers , as Parksy said will be for the kitchen and bathroom ( Shower and basin ) waste water. Some caravans eg Lunars had three outlets. I suspect you have two.

If you find smells leaking into the caravan through the sink / basin plug holes , use a milton solution. That will refresh the pipes and clean the waste tanks.

It helps to plug the waste outlets by the outside grey flaps just to give the milton a good chance to work.

Good luck.

Cheers

The toilet is emptied into the elsan point on site Danny and the grey waste goes into the normal drain.

If you ever decide to try rallying there is always an elsan point and if there are no grey waste drains it's acceptable to empty the waste water containers along the base of hedgerows as long as there are no food scraps in the water.
