I have just read the post on Young Caravanners. Is it not time a club was formed for the over 50s under 60s vanners. We could have 60s style discos. With the Beatles,Stones, Hermans Hermits, Hollies,Beach Boys, Unit 4+2 etc. Because by the time I got to Woodstock there was half a million there, and the site was full.

Just going to the loft to look for my flares and the wifes mini!!!!

Great idea for you old people (I'm still in my youthfull 40s) however something puzzles me. I know that the 60's were a swinging time, with plenty of those recreational substances being used, but dont you think it's dangerous keeping flares (health and safety) in you loft? With respect to a Mini being kept up there too, perhaps thats the best place for the tin worm infested blighter!

And the rallies could be in St Trop, Formentera and Cadaques.

Certainly brings back a few happy memories lol.

Unfortunately you said under 60, so that's us out.

I was almost balding at the age of 25 and now I'm close to exceeding the age limit you set, Frank, but The Searchers, Moody Blues, Dave Clark Five, Kinks, The Spencer Davis Group (I was in Birmingham at the time), etc. still conjure up memories, so do I still qualify?

What about the Kinks? No one's mentioned them yet.

I'm not bald either, but qualify on age.

Why make yourself feel older than what you are. Surely it is better to hang around with younger caravanners. a lot of them prefer the 60 -70s music anyway.

For LOL

It's not the flares that are dangerous it's what's in the flares. Hey and the mini still fits HWMBO.

Frank & Val
Frank, if what's in the Flares is still dangerous, all reverence to you man, just make sure you don't wave it about too much!

For us, I'm afraid the mini has been traded in for a maxi, but that's not a problem, there's just more to love.....
