Sit in Hob is loose

Can any body help, im just coming to the end of my first season and the hob has come loose, im not sure what make it is but my van is a elddis cyclone GTX 1991 so it has been well used, what do I need to fix it back down.

If it has a glass cover then usually the makers name is embossed somewhere there. If not then you may need to look for a makers plate on the underside. Carver or Smev are quite common makes. Most inset hobs are held in with screw bolts into plastic blocks which clamp under the worktop. Bluntly if you can get to the underside a selftapping screw into a piece of wood will do the job very well, I know because I found the manufacturer had put one into my hob as he broke the original plastic fitting. The tricky bit is getting to the underside if there is a fridge in place. This usually needs to come out so you can get your fingers in to hold the clamp against the underside of the worktop. One other dodge I found was to get some of the plastic blocks used to make right angle corners in DIY furntiture, B&Q have them at about 2 pounds a bag. Jam a nut into one of the holes on the 2 hole side and use a bolt to clamp the thing under the hob. With patience it does work..

Or of course get a dealer to do the job.
