Stayed at this site September '09 for three days and loved it, short easy walk in to town - for us the town was excellent with everything you could want.
Supermarket and various other large stores also within walking distance if you are not going to carry to much.
Pleasant walks along the river paths or if you want to laze nice just to watch the various cruisers and barges passing by.
We had a pitch immediately overlooking the river which we loved although some have commented on the disused industrial buildings on the other side of the river, the river is wide and that did not detract for us.
When we visited only the small toilet/shower block near reception was in use as they were demolishing the larger old block in preparation for the new building, having said that the facilities were always spotless. We only had a drink in the bar/restaurant one evening and found it very pleasant and welcoming as was our original welcome at reception.
On our arrival we found that someone had previously tripped the ehu for our pitch, again reception was happy and immediate to reset for us. All in all a very pleasant stay.
We shall certainly revisit.
