Hi there

We are thinking of going to pembrokeshire for our 2 week summer hols next year. Any recommendations for good sites?

We prefer quiet sites without lots of noise, bars etc but do have a young family so access to a sandy beach would be good.

We have considered the CC site at Freshwater and would be interested to hear views on this site.

Thanks

Jerry, went to this site when my daughter was six, she is now 31, l know its a long while ago but even then it was excellent.

You are in striking distance of Tenby, Manobier, the Lillyponds and you must not miss Barafundle Bay a beach to die for, the only problem is it's a fair walk over the cliffs to it but worth every minute when you get there.

I am sure someone has been to this site this year that can tell you what it is like now. If l remember there is a steep hill down to the site and beach directly across the road from it, even though it's 25 years ago l am sure it will meet your expectations

Not in Pembrokeshire but on the South Wales coast is Pembray CC site. Walk through the country park where there is bike hire and a toboggan run to the most wonderful sandy beach with sand dunes. Lovely site, lovely park lovely beach. Sadly the nearest town is Llanelli whose charms are well, ideosyncratic; but there are lots of Large Tescos. Places like Oakwood theme park are quite accessible.

Hi

We have been to Freshwater East twice, the latest being last August. We have 3 kids - 10,11,12. The site is down a steep hill, the site is terraced, a mixture of hard standing and grass pitches. There is a small play area for kids. The beach is just a few minutes walk away, lots of sand and either side some rocks for rock pooling. Popular with families. 2 toilet blocks usual club standards. Easy to get to Tenby, just a few miles away. Pembroke Dock, not far away has a number of large name supermarkets. We would return again.

Hope this helps

Annette
