It does not look as if Camping Kranbitten, Innsbruck is going to re-open again which is a loss, if you are travelling down the Brenner to or from Italy, as it was a good overnight stop and used by many Brits. This site was the only ACSI Camping Card site in the immediate area.

I contacted Camping Innsbruck at Natters, which is an excellent site and asked if they were thinking of going with the ACSI CC and had an email back, by return, saying they are going to take the ACSI card next year 2010. Wonderful news and this is a 5 star site open all year.

Not really in Innbruck, but the site "Camping Hell" near fugen in the zillertal valley is excellent despite the name.

We were directed to Natersee earlier this year having discovered Kranbitten was closed, and they accepted ASCI. Would strongly recommend Natersee, not just 5*, but more like 7* !!

Although way out of Innsbruck it is easy to find and relatively near autobahn to Bremmer. There is a small gauge railway down into Innsbruck from the nearby village; its the only place I know where one can watch planes taking off and landing at an airport from 2000ft above!!!

Yes Carolyn it is the Ferienparadies I would not think it would be over busy in June but there is no harm in contacting themm by email now and asking as you never know if there is a holiday or something at the time you are going. I will do this as we are going to be there sometime 1st week to 2nd week in June on our way from Austria to Switzerland. If you have not been there before it is a very nice site and the staff are very, very helpful.
