Site needed near Hawkshead

I'm running a race on saturday 18th April at Hawkshead. I fancy taking the family for a few days and I need suggestions for a site.

I thought about 'the croft' but it looks quite basic and I do at least want a play area for the kids. Unless someone knows of one close by in Hawkshead itself.

I've ruled out Fallbarrow Park and Braithwaite Fold.

Any other suggestions?

What about Skelwith Fold, I haven't been but it gets good reviews
