site problems

is the site experiencing problems with posts or is it just me, over the last couple of weeks it will not let me post or reply to topics.

I just get a "your post has been submitted" box and the text box does not come up it some times does work however or I would not be writing this.

I guess it is just me then with th absence of a reply, I have noticed however that it seem to be certian topics and theads that are locked out whlile others are not one could start to believe that it was some sort of censorship that is taking place by blocking debate on the site.

Didn't they tell you Colin - Tyke's are banned from some threads because they might annoy the Welsh, Scots, Scousers, Brummies and of course the Essex boys and girls....ha, ha (smiley thingy, something not familiar on this gas fired site)

They annoy the Welsh because they've still got one or two pits still open, they annoy the Scots because they are tighter than them, they annoy the Scousers because of that Red Rose White Rose thingy, they annoy the Brummies because their dialect is so much more up market than theirs and they annoy Essex boys and girls because that Tyke Jimmy Saville has more bling than they do and smarter shell suits :O)

Now goes and sits in the corner :O(

well something is going on I suppose it is just a matter of monitoring which treads are no go areas I will let you know .

Colin, you are not alone - there appears to be a significant delay between submitting and the post appearing, but difficult to know exactly why / where this happens. perhaps my more experienced Mod colleagues will have some suggestions.

Sorry to see that you are still having difficulties with posting on the forum.(I've been on holiday)

There's no mechanism to 'lock' threads to prevent posts on this forum so there might be something stopping you from posting properly at your end.

I used Norton antivirus at one time and experienced great difficulties with various websites until the subscription ended and I ditched it.

Did you post somewhere that you had the same problem on different computers?

If so is there an anti virus programme or firewall that is operating on more than one computer that you use? Do you use a registry cleaner? I haven't a clue what a reg cleaner actually does but since I ditched Norton in favour of a free anti virus and used a (free) registry cleaner my computer runs much better.

If all else fails why not post on Gary's CCC forum where someone is sure to know what the problem is.
