Site recommendations in Southwold?

After touring the UK for 25 years we're looking for areas we haven't really explored, one such area is Suffolk. Friends have recently visited Southwold which looks lovely and is somewhere we're considering for next year. I know there's the C&CC site at Kessingland, but has anyone got any personal recommendations for others? We like sites that are a bit quieter and ideally within walking distance of a town or pub.

We've stayed at Beach View which is at Sizewell, it's quite pleasant if you can get in, and is reasonably postioned for Southwold and Aldeburgh (beware seagulls if eating the famous chips - DO NOT FEED THEM). It's a private site

Croft Farm CMC cl at Snape is fabulous. Quiet, well drained and in easy reach of Southwold, Aldborough and Woodbridge. Lovely countryside with lots to see and do.

A couple of miles south is Run Cottage touring Park, 45 pitches, pond with wildlife, and field views towards Shingle Street, adults only, very helpful owners live there, highly recommended! If in the area don’t miss Sutton Hoo and if you are able take the short guided tour as you learn and see much more of the incredible history. (NT)
