My husband is taking a hgv course in bolton,so instead of driving from hull everyday we are going to take the van across and combine a holiday,any ideas on where to stay?We like good,clean sites which accept dogs and have loads for kids including swimming pool,walking,riding etc,within about a 40 mile radius,please help.

Hi Michael, Friends of ours recommend the site at Littleborough, Hollingwood Lake Caravan Park, Rakewood near Rochdale.

We've never been but intend to try it for a weekend soon as the Lancs and Cheshire DA is holding a holidya rally there in July/August. If we like it we will join them.

There is plenty to do in the area and it isn't far from Bolton. Hope this helps and it's not too late. Best wishes, Roz
