We are planning to visit Fife in Scotland in August 2005. Can anyone recommend a site with a minimum of hook up and reasonable shower block?

Many thanks for any help you can give.

Christine,

The Caravan Club site in Balwearie Park near Glenrothes is good, and is very easily reached. The one mentioned below at St Monans is also good, as is Dunnikier Caravan Park in Kirkcaldy.

Forget Dunnikier at Kirkcaldy the last time we went it was just a boggy mess , the aquarolls were sunk into the ground . for St.Andrews try Cairnsmill nice clean site with a small swimming pool , for a basic farm site with facilities try Gallowhill CP near Kinross , it is very easy to reach just off the M90

Can recommend the Sauchope Links site in Crail. Have been a number of times for weekend breaks. Nearly to the same standard as a CC site.

Stayed here last weekend.

Site is clean and toilets are okay.

Only slight moan is that pitches are quite close together, and that fees are expensive -
