We are missing Balbirnie too. Roll on August (we are booked in from 1 August!!) ... though they did say it may well be open before then (can't wait to see what they have done with the old place).
Thereis, or used to be, a site between Cupar and St Andrews. I have never been on it but used to drive past the entrance. It is, or was, a large site with probably statics as well. It is the only one I know of in that area, unless the CC or C&CC books show others. There are sites along the coast at Elie and Anstruther as well.
I would highly recommend Craigton Meadow caravan park which is just 2 miles from St Andrews it is a brilliant site with immaculate toilets and showers also the pitches are very spacious and well laid out. Hope this helps!
Yes, Craigton was the name of it, but I could not remember. I admit the last time i passed that way was many many years ago. I was not sure if it was still on the go.
We were at Craigtoun Meadows last year.Fantastic.VERY safe and child-friendly.Like being in a lovely garden. Loads to do very close by.Ran out of time to go to the strawberry farm park nearby at Cupar awwww
