Can anyone help? We had planned to go to le Clarys Plage (st Jean des Monts) next year, when we went to book up we were informed that they don't take booking you just turn up. Well that scares me slightly - travelling all that way and then can't get the site you want.

Can anyone recommed sites in this area, i have been looking at Acapulco but need to find out more first. There are four families going with children from 8 -17

thanks

Have a lok at La Yole, It has bar, in & out pools and play areas etc. We stayed there last Easter but being out of season it was very quiet.

Recommended.

Try Le Chant d'Oiseau, near Saumur. It's on the western edge of the Vendee.English owners, very pleasant and quiet. Google the name, it'll bring up their website.

Have a look at Camping le Bois Joli nr. Challans - we stayed there as a family when the kids were younger and really enjoyed it. It's a C&CC 'Carefree' site and you can book online via their website. Don't be put off by the two-star rating either - facilities are good and you can walk into the adjacent village for local shopping.
