Sites Open In the North East of Scotland in Winter

Hi

Now that the "normal" season is coming to an end and the majority of sites will be closing.

Does anyone know of any sites that are open all year round?

Probably as far south as Dundee and as North as Inverness

Loch Insch CL at Colpy is open all year.

Can be found on A96 approx 10miles North of Inverurie.

Culloden CC site, nr Inverness is open till about 6th January, Grantown on Spey site open all year, Glenmore Forestry site open all year (they may still close for month in November), Braemar CC site just closes from mid October to mid December, several CLs are all year - just check in CC book.

Thoroughly recommend Grantown On Spey. Very generous pitches, some fully serviced and sky tv. The facilities are wonderful with very friendly owner/wardens. It is affiliated to the Caravan Club. Location is excellent as well. Good dog walking on the old disused railway and of course great views of the Cairngorms.

Personally, I prefer the Huntly - Dufftown - Craigellachie - Aberlour route!

Alan...for Dundee have a looh ar Riverview,cant rmeber town it is in,its a best of british site approx 3 miles east of city,right on banks of tay...all hardstanding pitches

I use both routes, without problem , Malcolm must be looking out for a good bottle on the way
