Hi Donna, I'd think about staying at the CC Invercauld site in Braemar. The site has a great drying room and heated boot room specially for skiers and walkers. Glenshee has excellent snow cover at the moment.

Donna, I forgot to say that Glenshee is about 9 miles from Braemar on the A93. It's a big area over 3 valleys. Braemar isn't too far from the Lecht either. The Lecht is perfect for family ski-ing.

Stayed at the Forrest Holidays site at Glenmore near Aviemore during the mid term. Very close to the ski area, only about 10-15 minutes away. Down side is a bit hairy if there is heavy snow on the road and on site. Getting the van out may be a bit of an issue although I'm not the most experienced of towers :)

The site itself is OK although facilities are limited at this time of year, eg one toilet block one fresh water tap etc. Also the wardens were not the most helpful individuals I've come across.

There is a wee shop close by the site for provisions which also hires skiing equipment. Some nice walks also.

thank you so much for taking the time to respond, we don't get our van untill mid to late march so hopefully their will be decent skiing at that time and we can decide which we will go to of the two.

:)
