Just noticed I pay £51 a month for sky TV. No added extras just bog standard telly. Must be cheaper than that out there, but where?

Try comparison sites - I use Vodafone and pay £24/month for 70Mb broadband plus VOIP landline - they're £35/month including 4K TV

There is!
It's called Amazon Prime, Netflix, Paramount TV, Disney Plus etc!
Combine those subscriptions and it's probably still less than Sky. I gave up on Sky many years ago, never regretted doing so.

Keep a detailed record of what you watch on Sky per month that you couldn't get from anywhere else. Then ask yourself if what you have watched is worth the money you pay.
We find a Freesat box with recording facility is more than adequate, it cost 5 months of your Sky subscription and lasts many years

so i had sky for 20+ years and was paying over £120 at one point. It was hard to let it go lol

But if you have good internet (like 45mb or more) get yourself now tv. Its basically sky without the contract.

I think the sky main channels (called entertainment) are £9.99 a month but every few months i login, go through a cancel process (no people to speak to) and it offers you it for 50% for the next 6 months, again no contract. Just cancel at any time.
Same with sky cinema, sky sports. I think im paying £18 a month for all the sports channels currently.

Then as others have said, netflix, amazon prime, disney. It mounts up if you get them all though

I just use, Freeview, there is so much on there, Mrs H records programs onto a digital box, that we can take away in the caravan. The TV in the van is Freeview as well, but if there is no WiFi, we use the digital box or even end up talking to each other, rather than just listening to SWMBLO

We do similar - but with the addition of a Freesat satellite system when there's no terrestrial Freeview signal

Although we are on Virgin Media we rarely watch live TV. Virtually everything gets recorded as we get lots of family/friends phone calls and watching from a recording even in near real time means we can just pause it, so sometimes the News at 10 becomes the News at 11 :ROFLMAO:

We use pay £150 with Sky so i think for the complete package at £84
BB are you sure you have the best deal? Does it include your phones etc as well as TV? Perhaps you are not comparing eggs with eggs?

We stay with Sky because it comes with us in the caravan and gives us a much better reception ,quality picture, at home.
After a substantial negotiation last September we now pay £68 for everything Sky offer except TNT.
Sky is a strange animal. Don’t be scared to negotiate hard , leave if need be. They come back to you!

You can get the high quality reception using a Freesat receiver, for zero monthly charge - of course if you particularly want the Sky channels you'd need a Sky subscription.

We gave up Sky and now use NOWTV which is Sky streaming. You can either select monthly which is at a higher costs or agree to a minimum 6 months contract at a much reduced price i.e. Entertainment and Sky cinema for £15. We sign up for 6 months and then cancel for several months. When we sign up again we catch up on whatever we missed. No issue watching Sky stream in the caravan. £15 for unlimited data with Three.

On the face of it NOW is a good price. But if you want 4k and Dolby, both are extra. In fact, double the price.

With my hearing Dolby is just a memory. I’d settle for less slurring of speech in tv and film productions, particularly drama. Plus a few more brighter scenes too, far too much filmed in gloomy sets.
