Half the time I can't even get on the site, I keep getting the message page cannot be displayed. This happens every time I trie to change the page. I have had to try to load this page 5 times before I got it to work. When I run the connection diagnostics, everything shows fine. It never happens on any other site.

I think that the speed of the website or sometimes the slowness of it is governed by the cloud server, it seems to be back to normal today.

Ah, I get in now, so the fact that it is so slow this evening is because it is really overcast and windy outside. Roll on a high pressure front.

Perhaps its time to moan at the site and some of its short commings again.

The web site is getting extrememly frustrating at updating page requests and posting replies. its reverting to the stone age speeds we used to enjoy a few years ago.

The site search facility does not search on nicknames,

A number of posts seem to have just disappeared with out any trace on one thread and no moderators comments to cover their remove if thats what happened.

As an observation, the forums page would be more informative if it gave the full title of the 'last post' it it shows - just a few characters is not enough. there is enough room on the page, and also why not remove some of the vertical spaces to bring more of the subject headers on one page - better for smaller computer screens.

And is there any possibility that each registered member can have a page with a private list with links to latest threads they contributed to?

I have had this slowness problem for quite a few days now, thought it was my computer but every other website I visit is OK. It is painful hope they get it sorted soon.

Dianne
I've had the same trouble on site the last three weeks and now I'm home it's just as bad.
I have a theory it's all these stupid "moving " adverts. Not the things that Sproket posts but things like 212 VIP and B Gas Homecare etc???
Maybe our Mods can help please?

I'm in regular contact with the technicians over the various issues which beset this forum from time to time Dusty.
I was in touch with them yesterday and I added a link to this thread in my email so they should be fully aware of the problems.
I contacted them again this afternoon to say that this website is still very slow and to show them an error message that had appeared which I copied.
The reply has so far been that the problem with the slow running is being investigated and technicians are working to find a solution.
I wish that there was more that I could do

Is this site ever going to be sorted out, I am having to load every page two or three times before it actually works.
Every time all I get is "This page cannot be displayed" There is nothing wrong with the connection and every other site loads fine.
So what is going on?

I can't do anything about the problems with the speed but I can get the verification request sorted out for you Steve.
