Smelly Fridge

Unfortunately we inadvertently left something in our caravan fridge which has left a horrendous smell. Any tips on how to clean thoroughly and get rid of the smell would be most appreciated especially as the van is up for sale!!

Thanks.

Hi Howard

cut an onion in half and sit it in the fridge!! I promise it works and NO !!! your fridge wont end up smelling of onion ! somehow it absorbs all the smells !!!!!

Another one, to keep the fridge fresh. Is to put a teabag in there.

I didn't belive this would work but I had a teabag in there all winter and it seemed to do the job.

You should also try wipeing the fridge out with a solution of Bicarbonate of Soda, this cleans and leaves a neutral pong.

Use a strong solution of bleach, or milton if you're feeling posh. It's harmless, eventually decrading to common salt. It'll leaving your fridge smelling as sweet as the proverbial nut. Carefull of your carpet - it'll bleach that too!!
