can anyone who use this type of stabiliser tell how easy to fit and how easy to couple up when i want to tow my outfit.

i'm new to caravaning and i'll be doing all the towing, coupling of outfit to car etc myself.

i've seen 2nd hand al-ko stabiliser but not sure if these would be safe or where to start and fit one.

hope to hear from you seasoned caravans soon thanks.

Ann & Keith,

For convenience the Al-Ko hitch stabiliser wins hands down as it is always there, does not require any special storage and is simple to use.

With the snakemaster you have tothink about storing the blade when not in use and the additional bits you have to add to the caravan and car to enable its use.

A second hand Al-Ko unit should be ok, even if the friction pads need replacing.

Fitting is easy as long as the instructions are included, even if not, they are only held by two bolts which are already present on the current hitch head.
