Hi knowledgeable folk,

Our Swift Conqueror has a failed solenoid valve and am wondering whether the replacement cost of an identical part - £80.00 - is justifiable when a similar part can be bought for £10.00. Have any members had any experience of swapping such a part and do you have any advice please? BH

Swift certainly don't make their own, so will be buying it in from a manufacturer. Probably the same item as the one you have found for a tenner!

If the part is compatible, I would use the cheap one. Otherwise, it is just perpetuating the industry's habit of grossly overcharging.

(I would agree some markup is acceptable for storage and admin).

Thanks John. I'll see how an inexpensive replacement performs and let you and others at PC know the result.
