sorento tyre pressures

greetings every one

going to be towing with my sorento for the first time next week and can't find anything in the handbook regarding tyre pressures when towing, always upped them on my last car, never owned a 4x4 before so do the pressures need to be changed ?

thanks in advance

You don't need to increase them (I'm sure I've read that somewhere, either in the handbook or on the plate on the car).

The Sorento takes towing in its stride, as you will find out next week. I never increase my tyre pressures and it is fine.

Hi,

Up to 2006 the Sorento had self levelling suspension and all tyres were set at 35 psi and I have never changed that spec.In the past I used to put them up by 10%, but that with the Sorento it is not required.

Hi Marky,

My 2005 Sorie sits on BF Goodrich All Terrains 245/70 R16 and all four are at 35psi. We have towed many miles with no discomfort. The XT and Titans come with lower profile tyres and may be different pressures.

Cheers

Alan
