Hi.

I have been given a Elecsol 100 battery by someone who has given up caravanning.

The battery is not quite one year old and was last used and fully charged in July last year. since then it has been standing in a garage.

The advice I need is where to go from here, Do I just put it on the Van charger or can I use a normal battery charger to give it a boost.

I do not have any special equipment and do not want to buy any new chargers etc, just make the best of what I have got.

What is my best route to get this battery back to normal use?

Thanks

Andrew

ok if it was my battery id just put it on a normal battery charger on a low setting, and hope for the best.

the best option would be to buy a charger that recondishions them to, but if you dont want to buy one just trickle charge it.

Thanks Mike. That's what I decided to do. Moving Battery into Van this morning and will see if it holds charge.

Thanks

there does appear to be a difference in battery chargers for this type of battery, i purchased a black and decker Model # BC40EB battery charger last year to replace my failed charger and it has a seperate setting for wet barries and gel batteries, i think the elecsol is based on gel where as normal car and leisure batteries are wet cell.

My charger wasnt cheap at
