Thanks to everyone for their help. We've now been away since Christmas and are throughly enjoying the experience , although we are considering extending the trip by a month or so as we have already been five weeks in the Costa del Sol Area (uk.geocities.com/fincadelapiedra) Our original plans were for a shorter stay but I guess the Sun has got to us and we're getting lazy.

We are however thinking about moving onto Portugal at some point. Has anyone got any experience of Turiscampo on the Algarve. The other larger sites we looked at on the Costa del Sol seemed very overcrowded and while we're not anti social we do like our own space as well.

Any advice would be welcomed.

Thanks

Nick

No personal experience of the Algarve in winter but when we were there in summer not long ago we met a couple who had previously been there in winter and they said it was crowded there then too (in contrast to when we were there - it was really very pleasant then).

In the Algarve we have always gone to Capming Val Verde at Praia De Luz near Lagos. This is an Obitur site.

Bus from the village passes the campsite and goes to Lagos.

Supermarket, bars and restuarants in local village, with more choice in Lagos.
