That’s why I mentioned replacing without dismantling. Most car owners manual show which bulbs are readily owner replaceable and give the specifications of the bulbs. Otherwise consult Dusty he’s the source of knowledge wrt LED DRLs 😱Of course if you have led lights that cannot be easily replaced, I dought the rule is applicable.
Unfortunately I can beat DD, I had to replace my left hand driving light, I had two different ones sent to me from China, both that were supposed to fit, the last one fitted correctly but had two fog lamp bulbs instead of one, but my wiring was for only one, it still passed the MOT.That’s why I mentioned replacing without dismantling. As far as your Bailey is concerned you can buy from their spares guys or Amazon One of theseHi. Can anyone recommend a place to get spare bulbs for my caravan? (Bailey Unicorn Cadiz)
I don't think it's a necessity for EU travel, but it makes sense to carry them.
Thanks 👍
A number of bulbs on mine are replaceable LED and don’t run in to mega bucks. Form over fashion. Our whole set up is LED 100% so no way is anyone going to carry all LED lamps for car and caravan with a total cost of near £2,000
Just done an actual price check and car and caravan lamps totals £3,700
I don’t actually think French regulations require you to carry spare bulbs of those that can be changed. But I still think it’s a good idea to carry them.As far as your Bailey is concerned you can buy from their spares guys or Amazon One of these
And the rear LED brake light you could carry This.
Check it’s the correct year for yours.
Or just don’t bother. Europe is a pretty switched on area and they do have lots of spares. But for peace of mind I’d carry some spares.
Spate bulbs are not a mandatory French requirement. But it is illegal to drive with a faulty lightI don’t actually think French regulations require you to carry spare bulbs of those that can be changed. But I still think it’s a good idea to carry them.
Hence the reason I carried bulbs for both the car and caravan. I’ve got some for my present cars which is something I have done for a long time. But admittedly bulbs are so reliable these days that I cannot recall when I last had to change one. For example current Osram “5w” equivalent led marker bulbs have a four year guarantee.Spate bulbs are not a mandatory French requirement. But it is illegal to drive with a faulty light
