With the Forum being down over the weekend non of us were able to wish Steve well for his operation that I understand takes place today.

Can I suggest we all wish him well so that when he comes round from the anaesthetic and reaches for his laptop he can see that we were all thinking of him.

Get well soon Steve

All the best Steve from Screwemm Hall :O) Hope you are up and about on your pins soon old boy. Keep your chin up and as you lie there gazing at those nurses bending over taking B.P.s try to keep yours in check ;O) It wont be long now before we feel the warmth of the suns rays and when that happens I think it's a tonic for everyone. The stable and milk maids send their love but are glad of a few days grace from your groping. heheheh!

Yes I hope it goes OK Steve as I am having trouble getting volunteers for the gymnastic display at the meet.

Lol's the only one to put his name down at the moment, the only reason I can think of is that it gives him the opportunity to wear his spiderman outfit.

Considering the nature of your op I'll put you down for the parallel bars or any other type of bar you can think of.

Hope you're feeling better soon Steve. Maureen's suggestion about a team of "little helpers" is a good one, particularly as I'm a dab hand with a flannel ! ;-)

I'm afraid the Spiderman outfit is no more, the seams went and I banged my (please insert the body part of your choice here). All due to the festive excess I'm afraid. But thanks for the mention Roy; you're back "off" the Christmas list...........

Sorry to hear that Lol but it could be a blessing in disguise, jumping off the tops of wardrobes in super hero outfits gets a tad dangerous once you reach 40.

Oh and can you explain where I can insert a body part of my choice? 8o)

Thanks all

I have just got home after a few interesting days, my leg is now broken about an inch under the knee and I have 4 large pinds sicking out of the left side of the right leg. Each goes all the way to the othr side of the bone. All 4 are attached to a mechanical bar for adjustment

The leg has swallen like a football and the top pin has torn the surrounding skin all the way to the bone about 40mm long, one hell of a sight.

I hope you all enjoy your tea! I wil speak to you all soon..

OH AND THE BAD NEWS!! People who are going on the Easter meet, please destroy the cards that lisa has sent you.

Mr Robert Hawthorne, Publishing Executive, Practical Caravan / Practical Motorhome has refused the request to use the logo on the cards. I will design a new one with a new "FORUM USERS" logo in the next few days.

However He made the following offering which we wil be taking up

________Missd out the logo stuff_________

however if you plan to have a raffle or prize draw I would be happy to give you 2 one-year subscriptions to Practical Caravan to giveaway.

If you would like to take up this offer please let me know and then forward me the winner's details after your event.

I hope the meet goes well and that everyone has a great time.

Good to see your back and well Steve, appologies for any spelling mistakes but I was sick on the KB while reading the description of your legs. Must look like "Terminator 4" in your house at the moment.

Never been in your situation Steve - but "take it one day at a time" seems appropriate.

Get well soon!

Brian,

Like the other wishes on here, it made me laugh so no offense taken at all. Next few days in bed for me while I try to hire an electric wheel chair for the caravan show at the NEC later this month

If you are having a mobility problems drive straight to the halls at the NEC, if they see you are in difficulty they will let you park in the disabled area right by the hall FOC if you are polite and persuasive. A friend with broken bones was given free parking right by the hall door and the security guy offered to call for a chair for him. They were very very accomodating!

Call the NEC as I beleive they have Electric chairs (FOC) that you can reserve if you don't want to haul one with you!
