The three centre flames ( all 6) do not flare out as much as the four end ones. So it looks like the centre ones are never on full power.
According to my dealer this has been a long standing issue with Spinflo due to the metal crimping used in the manufacturing process.
I have been told even having new burners fitted will not change the centre flame pattern. The flames are blue and were only fully checked during the annual service yesterday.

Is the flame pattern correct??
 
Guessing at an answer DD - toast always burns in the middle because the flames on the sides loose heat outwards, whereas the middle also has flames on the sides to keep it warm. If you understand what I mean.
