Split carbon fibre awning pole

Somehow I have managed to partially split one of the carbon firbe pole for my lightweight awning. It's split about 6 inches, down it's length ( not across the diameter). Can it be glued back together, and with what glue, or do I have to shop round for a new section?

Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks

Paul

Hi Paul,

I had a similar problem with my porch awning, although my poles aren't carbon fibre. I taped it up with electrical insulating tape, quite a decent amount, but it did the job until I got around to replacing it.

I got the replacement pole and elastic from Towsure, but sorry can't remember the price. It wasn't dear though.

Cheers,

Alex.

Forgot to say that you get different lengths and diameters for the replacement poles on Towsure.
