Hi Graham
I live down here in cornwall.
Theres the Eden Project which is supposed to be good i myself have not been, Bodmin and Wenford Railway is a great place if you like Steam trains.
Trago Mills is near Bodmin which is a big discount shop.
Plenty of great beaches some are dog friendly Also kingswood walk pentewan, when heading from St Austell to Mevagissey where you are staying the Kingswood walk through the woods is about 1 mile outside St Austell and you can walk for miles.
If you dont mind driving there are plenty of places to take in the sites in Cornwall Flambards in Helston is great for kids and adults and its about 30 miles from St Austell and if you are going that way you really need to visit the most southerly point of the british isles The Lizard Peninsula, also Lands Ends further down the road.
If you like markets check out Cornish Market World in St Austell they are only open saturday's and sunday's and they also have Kids World, Give you a Tip Checkout the place next to the market called Buyology If you need anything they will have it at rock bottom prices,
If you want any info let me know
John

Oh NO not Seaveiw International
smiley-laughing.gif

Stayed there for a week last May (2012)
Spent 4 days stuck in the van with a bad back
smiley-cry.gif

And 3 days with no sea veiws due to fog and mist
smiley-smile.gif

Only having a joke with you Graham,
Quite a nice site , takeaway on site does nice fish and chips, shower/toilet block (When I got there) was clean, enclosed dog walk
if you could see the dog 20 foot in front of you due to fog/mist.
They say on there web site (or did) no windbreaks, got there and there were loads of them .
Graham you are not far from any of the many things to do in Cornwall and as john has said even lands End is only about an hours drive. Plymouth around the Barbican and The Hoe about an hour, you may also want to consider St Micheals Mount.
Hope this helps.
Just another thought John mentioned Flambards they had under cover parking when we went for dog owners only so the dog was in the shade dont know if you have to book in advance though so may be worth a call. (We didnt have a dog when we first went)

All sites will give you a bumper pack of "what to do". If that's no good then go home .LOL.

I'm sure you will not be bored!
