Stabiliser

We towed our caravan home the weekend after buying it the week before, we have a snakemaster stabiliser, when we arrived home we found that the bar had come out of the U joint. Why was this? I would appreciate any comments.

reading your entry again, I take it that by the "u joint" you are refering to the plastic bearing on the side of the A Frame?

Yes we have alot where we live, so I guess that is what caused it to happen?

I had a similar problem when we picked up our new Bailey in the summer. I had purchased a bulldog blade stabiliser and given it to the dealer to fit the bracket to the 'A' frame. Due to the plastic cover on the frame, the bracket wouldnt go all the way up, therefore it was too low to hold the blade in place.

I cut a piece of the plastic from the cover and moved the bracket further up. I have had no problems since.
