i bought a bulldog 2000Q stabiliser recently and fitted it to the car and caravan on our first trip this year but i still found the caravan swaying just want to no if u tighting the stabiliser with the pole once it is fitted to the car and caravan
 
Got me a bit baffled with the `tightening with the pole` bit!

If you have the quick release one (I think the "Q" refers to this), once the stabilier is fitted you put the `pole` bit onto the top of the stabiliser and lever down to pre-load the stabiliser, the lever going `over the cam` and effectively locking the stabiliser in its operational position.

If you haven`t done this, you won`t get any stabilising efect.

thanks angus i wasnt very sure if i was doing it correctly as i never got an insruction manual with it
