stabilisers

Ihave recently bought a 56 reg vectra with a detachable towbar and would like 2 know wot would be the best but cheapest option of buying a stabiliser . as my 95 abi award does not have such a tow hitch

Not the cheapest stabiliser, but I would get a bulldog 200Q blade type, used one in the past and found it excellent, they do an adaptor bracket for removeable bars

I use the Alko with a detachable tow-ball.

You can also use the Alko hitchlock and leave it on whilst travelling. A practice that some police don't like but it makes the outfit more secure when left unattended.

Probably not the cheapest but by far the easiest to use.

Garry,

I`ve got a Bulldog bracket which I had on the detachable bar on what is now the wifes Passat.

Took it off 18 months ago and its now in the garage, I was going to put it in Ebay as one went yesterday for

Gary, you should be able to get the adapter from any decent caravan dealer, dont know where you are in the country, but when we got ours the dealer swapped the bolt on bracket for a swan neck bracket for no extra charge
