Hi Trevor,

Just bought one of these last week, but not used it yet.

I bought it because it was the best value on the interweb.

I've had it out of the bag to inspect and it seems to be just a smaller version of our full NR awning. Decent quality fabric and poles, although I didn't expect so many poles for a porch, compared to a full awning.

We're going from a lightweight Panorama XL, which we've had for 3 years and is now leaking. So hopefully it won't take too much longer to put up.

Really looking forward to having dry cozy awning for the cold winter nights.

First time of use will be 13/14/15/16 November, so will try to remember to post back on here how it was in use.

Cheers,

Alex.

Hi Trevor,

Put the awning up for the first time last week up at Blair Atholl. Very sturdy piece of kit I'd say. We have a full NR awning and a small lightweight igloo style and this one takes the best bits from both I'd say.

Small enough to transport easily, sturdy and highly waterproof, quality materials, two side doors and a big zip out front panel, if using in the summer.

We have the steel frame. It had more pieces than I expected, but you can actually leaves some of them partially built up to save starting from scratch completely each time. I liked the roof support poles (3) which give it it's sloping roof and that one of them is really close to the van, giving good stability.

Sizewise it was great. Had decent sized table, plus 3 chairs inside and the was still room for a couple of boxes and bags on the floor. I noticed the difference in temperature sitting the awning, it was great and so much warmer than the lightweight porch.

Unfortunately, stupid me, didn't take the wee bag that had the pegs in it. It didn't just have the pegs in it, it had the rubber ladders for attached to the pegging points ! Doh ! Had to fashion something to allow us to peg it down.

Also, it has a wee triangular mark on the roof, that looks like it may go all the way through. Not sure what to do yet as don't want the hassle of packaging it all back up and sending it back.

Anyway, enough of my problems, great buy, go for it. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

( JTS - thanks also for your previous advice )

If I can answer any other questions re- the awning Trevor, just ask.

Cheers,

Alex.

Hi Alex Many Thanks for your reply to the Awning, we pick our up last Saturday and had a good look at every thing ok, did like the poles that was number, so won't get the wrong bit togetter, did find the the awning bit that you threat along the bottom of the van did't have any hole in it to put your hardstaning peg thro, but we can over come that problem, Glad you are happy with your so we will be too, Thanks Trevor

Hi Trevor,

Have to say that I didn't notice the skirt that attaches to the van didn't have pegging holes, as we used our old one from the other awning.

Will need to remember to look and make some holes as necessary.

Another thing that I meant to mention was that it was fairly windy at times up Blair Atholl and the awning felt stronger and sturdier than even our full awning. Not having had one before I can only presume that's because the supports/poles are closer together in a porch awning.

Thanks,

Alex.
