Status 530 Directional Aerial help required

Hi all just purchased the above and i rang Bailey, to find were to position aerial in the wardrobe i was told it could not be fitted as their is no roof supports and it could buckle roof.

My van is a Bailey 100 and 2 local dealers said it can with no problems at all has anyone fitted one with the same problem please Mark

Best thing to do is return the status and get your money back - for all the good they are!

Much better to get a high gain ariel and poles to clamp it to your "A" frame and put in an external TV/Satellite connection.

I say both because by far the best and most reliable is going to be the satellite when (and you will) go that way in the future.

I would ensure that I went to a Bailey dealer who should know what they are doing and if the roof is strong enough , or if there is an alternative poaition. As for the 530 we have one in our current van and if fitted properly are excellent. Last van had the old circular status which was hit and misss we used an ariel on a long pole and booster in poor reception areas. But with the 530 have never not been able to geta quality picture even in the forests of the Highlands of Scotland

We have the Status 530 and agree they are very good if fitted properly. We rarely fail to get a picture. The round flying saucer ones are useless.
