Hi all

I have taken off my Status Omni Aerial but I am left with the base I have put the little cap in the hole to stop water getting in. But the base does fill up with water sooner or later water is going to find its way in. I know there is a blanking plate but you have to get the old base off first and the amount of mastic around it it does not look an easy task. Has any one out there found somthing that will just go over the base bite making it water tight.

Yes I know about these plates but as I said I am not a clever at DIY. Getting the fixing plate of as Doug The Fix it KING of Practica Caravan Pointed Out when he had a go its not a easy Job.

Try warming it up with a hair dryer and using white spirit to remove the excess

It is probably more tedious and messy than hard to do

I would use a flat round ended table knife
