Hi Fred,

I had a similar problem at the beginning of last season. I can not remember exactly what had broken, but in my case it was not possible to just re-tighten the fixings. I believe the plastic was actually broken somewhere, probably due to becoming brittle with age.

I solved the problem by repositioning the aerial and fixing it with a suitable amount of marine sealant / adhesive.

This still appears to be holding well; in fact so well that I think it might be a bit of a 'pain' if I ever need to remove it.

Hope this might help.

Enjoy your hols.

Fred,

All I can say is that mine has held very well and shows no signs of failing again. We have also not needed to remove it, e.g. for low ferry decks, which would theoretically be a disadvantage of fixing it in this manner. From experience of travelling with P&O there has always been more than adequate clearance.

Hope this helps.

Enjoy your hols.
