I can not get a picture worth watching through the status on my Bayleys roof. I live in a strong reception area, get a better picture without an aeriel than with the status. Any advise or anything I can do to help the situation?

I would check the plugs on the end of the coax for fit and make sure no strands of the outer shield wire are across the main centre core.

The Omnimax mushroom type of roof aerial does not a good reputation but the newer ones that can be turned from inside the van are much better.

Hope that helps

Thanks John. If these aetiels are as useless as they seem to be, why the hell do they keep selling them and fitting them om new caravans?

That has ben asked many times on different forums.

Bailey now fit the directional one to the Senator and Pageant range so there is a move in the right direction

I agree, I see Avondale have stopped fitting a spare wheel, but still fit a useless ariel.

I was pleasantly surprised just how good the recepion is on this type of aerial, are you aware of the on/off switch & also the high/low signal switch. It might seem silly to ask but my workmate had a lousy reception until I mentioned the on/off switch,it works wonders!.
