Status T.V. ariael

I have a status 315 tv ariael that was factory fitted on our van. We would like to fit a status S530. The 315 is fitted above a overhead locker.

Can or is the S530 simple enough to fit into place with the removal of the 315.

thanks

Steven.

I fitted a status 530/10 into my van as the previous 315 was mounted just above the wardrobe,it was quite easy for me, the only thing was making sure i put the hole in the right position due to a support bracket which is required for the long mast, you have to decide if you have enough space in your locker, or mount it somewhere else, if you do you can get a blanking plate to cover the old hole

Here is link for 530/10

Here is a link for 530/5

I find ours to be very good.

Just one word of warning befor you start ! make sure there are no wires running throught the roof void were you will be drilling ! seen it done all to often when people up grade,

I replaced the 315 with a 530/5 in our 2002 Eccles Onyx. Swift, very kindly, sent a schematic of the roof which shows the wooden block in the roof. I bought a 315 blanking plate and cut the 44mm hole through this and the roof with a hole saw and then fitted the 530.

You do not say what model caravan you have but I believe it would be worthwhile contacting the manufacturer for a schematic.

Hope this helps.

Mike
