Stolen caravan

I assume you purchased your van through the UK dealers. If so then the UK brochure from 2005 onwards clearly states that Theftbeaters is fitted as standard, however, it does have to fitted either at time of delivery or afterwards by Theftbeaters themselves, because the vans are made in Belgium. The dealer will usually arrange this, but I do know I had to remind them as mine was not so fitted at time of delivery. However, on advising them of this the Theftbeaters engineer arrived very shortly afterwards and did the whole deal in a morning.

I can only suggest you contact the dealer and find out if in fact this was done. I suspect I know the dealer in question but don't wish to name names, however, I cannot complain of the service I received from them.

I can only hope that your van is either recovered soon, or the insurance allows you to get a replacement asap. My first van was a Sprint 390TK and we thoroughly enjoyed it but advanced to the Samoa with a fixed bed due to old age and laziness.
