Stop offs on the A30

Has anyone got any tips of locations down the A30 to st ives where we can take a break along with a bite to eat and drink. We are expecting to be on the A30 around 4.30PM

I am not sure how long you want to be on the A30 before stopping but there is a rest area at Temple {Colliford lake } which is on the left on the single lane section as you approach Bodmin.

Sorry just reread your post: did you want to buy your food and drink at your rest stop?

Just before Okehampton (the first Okehampton turning off the A30) which is marked Belstone there is a service area. There is a little chef, a small outside eating area and a garage. The garage do the most amazing pasties!! Take my husband's word for it as his work gang often stop there for a pasty or two when they are working nights.
